it’s not that i hated it. it may not be the worst x men movie either. there were multiple things however, that i didn’t like with the film. i didn’t like that quicksilver wasn’t really in it. i think i enojoyed it until the part where they were on the train. i think it let down more story and dragged it on too long. it actually highly reminded me of last stand. i didn’t like it either so idk
Its very, very bland. Its not bad, its just it could have been so good, and it just felt like it wasted all its two hours in a very slow pacing with nothing really new and exciting. There were no stakes, so overall an average movie. But there are some good things. The movie is not silly, it has chracter motifs, but it doesn't develop them very much. Its full of good, although badly executed, ideas. Well intentioned but overall very bland and average. The dialogue was also shitty, bland as well. Its sad, because this is the last we are going to see from the X-Men franchise (before New Mutants hopefully) and the result is disappointing in a good part.
I think it was really good I don’t fully understand why people hated it like fox new it would be the last one so they really tried there best and I think it went well
I like dark Phoenix but I wish it had more fight scenes
Judging from reviews much of the negativity mainly comes from the misleading title and marketing. The selling point was that Jean was the film’s villain and that it was an Endgame type of finale. Neither of which is true.
First off, this movie should have been titled X-Men: Phoenix because there is no Dark Phoenix and that’s the point of the story. It’s really about Jean not going down a dark path again because Xavier had hope in this timeline, like how DOFP was about Mystique not going down a dark path because Xavier having hope in her. DOFP ended with Jean being alive and being on the side of the heroes so it should come as no surprised. Both films even have similar opening narrations.
Same old same old. Days of Future Past is still the best of the lines.
Miguel, I don’t think the general consensus is that it’s slow placed but rushed.
I find it very hard to believe that. The movie takes a lot and a lot of time trying to build up the scenes of the movie. It takes literally half the entire movie for her to kill Mystique and join Magneto. Before that, we only see slow development of Charles and Beast saying "she's changing" and "something bad is happening" and stuff. The movie is slow. I don't see how it is fast paced and rushed. Only because we see the X-Men action in space right in the beginning? I didn't see any issues with that... The problem is that, after that, we need to wait a million years for another cool action sequence (not that it is a problem, Logan was very self-contained, but a self-contained movie seems to not work very well in the X-Men team movies as a vibe, evidenced by this movie).
