This is a timeline of events that occurred in the revised timeline 1970s.
1970[]
- Most of the male students and teachers at Xavier's School have been drafted in the Vietnam War by this date. Charles Xavier, falling into depression, becomes addicted to a drug designed by Hank McCoy to allow him to walk, but it suppresses his powers. The school and mansion fall into ruin.[1]
1971[]
- Trask Industries B3-VXC Archival Footage is filmed.[2]
- After breaking out of several prisons during the 1960s, Magneto is finally subdued by a specialized prison developed by Trask Industries. It is located in the Pentagon, 1,320 ft below the Earth's surface, and is composed of industrial-grade polymers and concrete to negate Magneto's powers.[3]
- Tandem Initiative begins.[4]
1972[]
- 18 1/2 minutes of a meeting between Bolivar Trask and President Richard Nixon is erased, causing an investigation.[5]

- Wolverine from the alternate future 2023 awakens in his younger body.[1]
- Logan, Charles Xavier, Hank McCoy and Peter Maximoff, break Erik Lehnsherr out of his Pentagon prison.[1]

- Mystique is prevented from killing Bolivar Trask in Paris. However, Erik Lehnsherr turns against them.[1]
- Trask Industries unveils the Sentinels Program.[1]

- Wolverine and Hank fight Erik and a Sentinel while Charles tries to convince Mystique to spare Bolivar Trask at the White House.[1]

- The Sentinels Program is cancelled and Bolivar Trask is arrested for selling military secrets.[1]
- Mystique, under the guise of William Stryker, raises Logan from the Potomac River.[1]
1974[]

- Charles Xavier and Hank McCoy reopen the school for mutants. A new generation of teachers and students are welcomed.[citation needed]
1975[]
- Wade Wilson is born in Regina, Saskatchewan.[6]
- Eight year-old Jean Grey accidentally loses control of her abilities and causes a car accident that kills her parents. Professor X finds Jean and takes her to his school, promising her a safe home and a new family. However, he also blocks her memories and puts psychic blocks to limit her powers. In reality, Jean's father survived and purposely abandoned Jean out of fear and hate, giving her over to Charles.[7]

- Erik Lehnsherr meets Magda Gurzsky; they marry and soon have a daughter Nina Gurzsky.[citation needed]
