This unnamed Soviet mariner was the captain of the cargo ship Aral Sea.

Biography[]

During the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Aral Sea's captain was seen on the bridge of his ship, ensuring that its cargo - tactical nuclear missiles - reached Cuba.

At the height of the Crisis, the Aral Sea was heading for the embargo line proclaimed by the U.S. - both protected by a Russian fleet and threatened by an American fleet. The Russian flagship, receiving new orders from Moscow to deescalate, attempts to hail the Aral Sea to no avail. Unbeknownst to them, the ship was commandeered by the Hellfire Club (specifically by Azazel), and the captain and crew were dead.
