Cerebro (Spanish for "brain") is a device used by Professor X to expand his telepathic ability to observe at all the mutants and humans throughout the world.

Cerebro can kill if Xavier were use his telepathic abilities and concentrate hard, affecting an individual or an entire group.

Cerebro is located at the X-Mansion in the subbasement.

Other Designs

In the early 1960s, Beast made the first Cerebro at the CIA's Division X facility, and made Xavier use it. This is how the members of the first X-Men were found and recruited. This version was destroyed by Riptide when Sebastian Shaw along with Azazel invaded the facility to get at the mutants.
Years later, Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr built the current Cerebro in the subbasement of the X-Mansion.
William Stryker made a Dark Cerebro at his Alkali Lake base to kill all the world's mutants, brainwashing Professor X in order to use it. That Cerebro was destroyed.
