Synopsis[]
Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date—"Deadpool & Wolverine." A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to— Fuck. Synopses are so fucking stupid.[1]
Plot[]
In 2018, after using the Time Slider to resurrect Vanessa Carlysle and members of the X-Force such as Peter Wisdom and Shatterstar, Wade Wilson uses it to jump across the Multiverse and into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, after his attempts to join the Avengers results in failure, he uses the Time Slider to return to his universe. Six years later in 2024, Wade has retired as Deadpool and is no longer in a relationship with Vanessa. He works at an automotive dealership alongside Peter, who encourages him to suit up as Deadpool, although Wade refuses.
During a birthday party celebration at this house, where Vanessa, Peter, Shatterstar, Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Blind Al, Dopinder, Buck and Yukio are attending, Vanessa informs Wade that she has started seeing someone else. Just then, Wade answers a knock on his door and is kidnapped by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the time cop organization who oversees the entire Multiverse. The TVA informs Deadpool that his universe, dubbed Earth-10005, is slowly dying due to its anchor being (Wolverine) having passed away in 2029, and that they intend to use a device to speed up the destruction of his timeline. Wade suits up as Deadpool once again and rebels against leaving his friends to die, fighting against the TVA who banish him to another dimension known as the Void. There, he meets alternate versions of other mutants such as Callisto, Psylocke, Juggernaut and Quill and discovers that other people from his universe, such as Pyro and Sabretooth have been sent here as well.
Deadpool teams up with an alternate universe Wolverine to join a band of resistance fighters, one of whom includes X-23, to fight against Cassandra Nova, the twin sister of an alternate Charles Xavier. Deadpool, Wolverine, and Cassandra Nova make their way into Earth-10005 in the year 2024, just shortly after Deadpool had been abducted, where Deadpool and Wolverine manage to kill Cassandra Nova. Peter, who dons Deadpool's old suit to become Peterpool, arranges for Deadpool's safety from the TVA as it is revealed that the agents who kidnapped Wade and attempted to destroy his universe were a rogue faction. The TVA allows for the alternate Wolverine and X-23 to live in Earth-10005 in 2024, despite the fact that the prime Wolverine and the younger version of Laura also exist somewhere else in the same timeline, as prime Logan would not die for another five years. While having a get-together at his apartment, Wade reconciles with Vanessa, who appears open to rekindling their relationship.
