After the massacre at the Weapon X facility, a group of unknown individuals in connection with Essex Corp. arrived to collect a vial of Wolverine's blood sample.
Trivia
- Essex Corp. is a reference to Nathaniel Essex, the supervillain more commonly known as "Mister Sinister". He was initially rumored to be the main antagonist in Logan until director James Mangold confirmed that Mister Sinister would not be appearing in the film.[1]
- According to Simon Kinberg, the post-credits scene of X-Men: Apocalypse is directly connected to the events of Logan. One of the major revelations in Logan was that Alkali-Transigen used Wolverine's DNA to create the mutant Laura. This heavily implies that Laura was made from the blood sample collected by Essex Corp. in the post-credits scene of X-Men: Apocalypse.[2]
