Post-credits Scenes are a recurring staple in the feature films of the X-men films, where a clip is shown during and/or after the ending credits. The clip usually foreshadows future films, resolves a plotline from the film.

Wolverine is at a bar in Japan drinking shots of whiskey. After asking for another shot, the Japanese bartender asks him if he is American. Wolverine responds, “Canadian… I think.” She then asks if he’s drinking to forget and he replies, “No. I’m drinking to remember.” | ||
The Wolverine | Foreshadowing X-Men: Days of Future Past, Two years later, Logan returns to the United States and is approached at the airport by Magneto, who warns him of a grave new threat to the mutant race and Professor X, who Logan previously thought was dead. | |

Deadpool | Foreshadowing Deadpool 2, (which is partially an homage to Ferris Bueller's Day Off post-credit scene) Deadpool is dressed in a robe and talk directly to the audience in a hallway that looks similar to the one in Ferris Bueller. Similar to Ferris, Deadpool says "You're still here? It's over. Go home." He then announces that there will be a sequel involving Cable. He also warns the audience not to leave their trash in the theater. At the end of the scene, Deadpool leans back into the frame from behind a doorway, and makes the "Chicka-chickahhhh" sound from Ferris Bueller. | |
