Oh. If that’s the case then just say that in your edit summaries when you do that. People in America haven’t seen the premier just yet after all. And you said May 16, it’s still the May 15 here on the West coast at the moment.
I've read all those articles, and they're all speculating that the kid is Firefist. While all evidence so far points to him being Firefist, the wiki page should stick with fact. Hence, the article should be titled "Russel", based on the TV spot.
I don’t know since I just recently heard about the Multiple Man movie. In the comics, he’s a hero and ally of the X-Men. But in some incarnations, he a villain. So I’m just gonna say ally of the X-Men.
Maybe Multiple Man will appear in the Shadowcat movie. I think he will be okay if he becomes an ally of the X-Men. However, I see Mr.Madrox just making his adventures and goals alone, but he is probably a good guy, or a mix between a good and bad guy.
It wouldn't be bad if Shadowcat meets with the Guardians of the Galaxy. But if James Gunn says this, it's probably because it won't. Besides, the Shadowcat movie doesn't have a release date, meaning that we don't know if it's going to be released after GotGv3, and if it does, she could join the Guardians only later.
However, I imagine Shadowcat having her own adventures in the X-Men Universe. Maybe after the events of Logan?
there is a character so James Gunn is a fan and he does not hide it is the silver surfer . he'll probably use it for his cosmic universe marvel with i think galactus
on the other hand I am happy that we can speak about meeting of the kind shadowcat with the guardians of the galaxy. before the deal between disney / fox it was unimaginable and there was even little hope for x men and the fantastic four
Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 is in development and, if the Fox/Disney merger happens, this could become a reality. It says that the merger could happen in a matter of 12 to 18 months. If the merger happens in 12, the X-Men could be introduced to the Marvel Studios, right before the release of Silver and Black (which is Sony property), The New Mutants (an X-Men property) and Captain Marvel (a Marvel Studios movie). In 18 months, the X-Men will be introduced to the Marvel Studios right before the release of Spider Man: Homecoming 2.
For the X-Men to appear properly in the MCU universe (without a cameo), the MCU should begin filming a movie during the Fox/Disney merger. And 2019 will be the perfect year to do it, if you want it the soonest as you can.
Silver & Black is a Sony property and, despite being theoretically in the same universe as MCU, it very likely wont show any X-Men. Captain Marvel is set in the 1990's and, as a prequel to most MCU films, showing the X-Men would be in a cameo, more than a definitive introduction. Also, being set in the 1990's might coincide with X-Men: Dark Phoenix! Avengers 4 would be a great add, but it most likely wont show X-Men, as it is already in post-production. However, they could appear in a cameo. The New Mutants is pushing it's release date 10 months before it's original release, and there are rumors that they will connect with the MCU, given more time after post-production (although still unlikely). Gambit is an X-Men spinoff movie, and will probably don't worry about MCU connections, but it is still a great possibility. Finally, Spider-Man: Homecoming 2, which can pretty much offer a relief type story, after the apocalypse that was Infinity War, and then show the X-Men by surprise, in a cameo.
With this in mind, the Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 could show a reboot of some Fantastic Four characters. If they make a Spider-Man: Homecoming 3, Deadpool could appear, at least in a cameo.
The only two things that probably will save the X-Men franchise from being rebooted are Deadpool and Venom. Marvel Studios will be forced to remain Deadpool as he is, and Venom (as a separate franchise in the same Marvel Universe as the Avengers) will show how the X-Men can have their own adventures, in their own universe, while being in the same multiverse as the MCU. I just hope Venom to succeed.
Avengers vs X-Men is probably years away. But as I said before, if the X-Men get introduced in the MCU around 2019 (at minimum), tensions between the two teams (X-Men and Avengers) may occur, and the guys at MCU are pretty smart (SUPER smart, actually). However, an X-Men vs Avengers movie will probably be two to three years away (at minimum).
I believe that connections and influences between the two universes (X-Men and MCU may have already occured, through history). The MCU prooves the existence of a multiverse with infinite realities (just like Rick and Morty!!!), and many rifts, portals and travels through different dimensions have been reported through natural or artifical ways. It's just a matter of time until a portal between XCU and MCU is open, which can happen from Captain Marvel to Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 (realistically speaking). Who knows, maybe S.H.I.E.L.D already knew that the X-Men universe existed since the 90's (merging Captain Marvel and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, perhaps). And only in the present, the X-Men will join the Avengers to fight Thanos in Avengers 4, Deadpool may join Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four could appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Just an hypothesis.
Probably (without counting with a cameo) the X-Men will only appear in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 at the soonest, as it is in development, while all other previous Marvel Movies are either in pre or post-production (without counting with Gambit). And it is still very unlikely. Sadly for many, the XCU will only totally merge with the MCU around 2020 or 2021 at the soonest.
we know a hero who can connect the universes: doctor strange. but if thousands of mutants came to appear in the mcu, it would certainly cause a global panic, even the avengers would not know which side they are
I'm not saying that all the mutants will pass to the MCU universe. Mutants live in their own universe and some could come to the MCU from time to time (or live there if that's their wish). Exile is not the solution. Plus, the X-Men will solve their own problems in their own universe (just like Thor, in Asgard), helping the Avengers in their own problems and vice-versa.
I just saw Thor: Ragnarok yesterday and it was AWESOME!!! If the X-Men join the MCU they will be in good hands, that's for sure. I just hope they don't screw it up.
I don't think Legion and The Gifted are set in different timelines than the others shown in the movie universe. Both are either part of the original or the revised timeline. I mean, Shadowcat may have made some timeline changes at the tail end of the original timeline and The Gifted may be among one of them (but I doubt Legion is in there).
The thing is is that, with the inclusion of time travel in Cable and with other mutants, timelines can exist in abundance. However, we just don't know if that's true and it still remains a little bit awkward to say that Legion and The Gifted are in different universes if there is no concrete evidence.
because in legion, the world is not aware of the mutants apart from the senior members of the government. in addition, division 3 is similar to the sentinel team (although they seem less threatening but I can be wrong)
Well, mankind wasn't aware of mutant existence through eternity. Note that First Class, Origins and DoFP both show a past where the public was unaware of mutants. Legion could be set in that time, shortly before mutants are revealed to the society.
I must disagree with your undoing of my edits on Quicksilver's Relationships portion of his page. The correct and more aesthetically pleasant way to write the names of the persons is by writing both their real names and their chosen codenames. (Real Name / Code Name) instead of just one or the other. Most other superhero/comic-based wikia's use this type of formatting, and it is far more appealing to the eye than the very informal single name/code name variation you seem to support.
I see where your coming from. And the other comic book/superhero sites I support are just powerlisting, and on there it varies. But all I’m trying to say is that other relationship sections of character pages don’t usually have both the code names and real name, just the code name(s). And any time there would be a page with both real and codenames, it would be on the film pages or tv series pages.
Honestly all character pages need to be updated to this new more correct formatting, along with updating the summary/first portion of the page where it usually says for example:
"Professor X (born Charles Francis Xavier) was a mutant, the leader and ..."
to a more formal and respectful alternative such as:
"Professor Charles Francis Xavier, also known as Professor X, was a mutant, the leader and ...."
What we have now (the first) is misleading (especially for it being the intro/summary portion of a character's page) because it implies his birth name is no longer important, and falls in second place to his codename. That is incorrect (and disrespectful to the character, if you look at him/her as if they were a real person instead of fiction), and that is why we should format it and make it so a character's birth name/true name takes presedence over their chosen codename.
Most of these formatting inconsistencies and discrepancies stem from the fact that most pages were written years ago and back then they aplied a simplier format (as is usually, as a wikia progresses it becomes more complex and detailed in its presentation of information), and over they years instead of updating and improving on the established texts, new pages were made instead and those pages use the formatting from the older one. So there never really was a "refinement" factor to most changes made to this wiki. What was created years ago, remains today mostly unchanged and that is bad for any wiki. One of the worst offenses (and surely the one that caused a bad impression in most) was the main page, which I updated and refurbished over the past year or so. (Its not exactly at the point I want it to be, since I have no access to the CSS, but it looks nice and clean, and it presents its information well enough)
I understand your logic. I mean sure that the characters are called by their birth name more than their code name, but all mutant characters have their code name first because it’s more reknown than their birth name. All I can say is let bygones be bygones.
It shouldn't remain like that though, the other two big Comic Cinematic Universe wikis (MCU & DCEU) follow similiar formatting, Wikipedia aplies this formatting to fiction characters (Marvel characters included) and even the Spanish X-Men Movies Wiki. We are the biggest (and probably the only) english langauge database for Fox's X-Universe, we really have to adapt and change, or we'll never catch up.
If someone downloaded a pirated, shitty camera quality copy of "Logan" and took screenshots of it, or used their phone to take photos of a tablet/computer where they were watching the movie, and then uploaded those images here .. those images would be both illegal and violating copyright. Thus they would be taken down, deleted, and the uploaded would be given a warning.
Repeated infractions would result in a block, and upon the block's expiry, should the user continue infringing copyright and blatantly disregarding the rules, they would be banned indefinitely.
Ok ahmmm... Jean grey doesn't have biokinesis, its just that she can manipulate and alter matter at molecular and/or atomical level, allowing her to manipulate cells and so the fromation of living beings.
Also to be more clear, as she can control molecules, she can control ALL kind of matter as everything is made of molecules(including cells), so if she wishes to she does can rip apart an object's or a creature's molecules allowing her to desintegrate them.
Jean can also fully manipulate any kind of energy, and she does it because she can manipulate atoms.
I have nothing to do with this argument to begin with, but I'll bite. All I can say is that, if Jean can manipulate matter at a molecular or subatomic level, then go with molecukinesis or subatokinesis. I did research on super powers and these are the terms that describe her "biokinesis". Or you can just go with Matter Manipulation since the aforementioned powers are applications of it.
Hmmm alright, but biokinesis is the power that exclusively control the body (only cells) and all the kinetics abilities means something and biokinesis means control over living organisms and just that, but jeans Telekinesis goes beyond that it is just like Apocalypse, it is Matter Transmutation or Molecular Manipulation. Also her Telekinesis should say the level she can reach even if it's at full extent, Wich is at atomical level allowing her to manipulate not just matter molecules, but also energy, and subatokinesis and molecukinesis are especific abililities, but jean grey only have Telekinesis and she can control atoms just because her TK reach to that level.
Also if jea grey did have molecukinesis or subatokinesis didn't she could easily manipulate and reshape matter and/or energy as her main Ability because those are the primary function of those Abilities, but no she only can do this when her telekinesis reach the full extent of her powers, just think about. Hihi :) ;).
Season's Greetings! You might remember me from the Naruto wikia.
Anyways, as there are no active admins here, I have decided to ask the community staff if I may adopt the wikia, and as you are an active user at the moment, I would like your input on the matter at hand.
