Muir Island is the home and workplace of Moira MacTaggert. It is located in northern Scotland.
History[]
Sometime after the events of X-Men: First Class, Moira MacTaggert left the CIA and ultimately became a medical scientist. She established her home and workplace on Muir Island in northern Scotland, eventually working alongside Charles Xavier again - this time in an educational capacity.

X-Men: The Last Stand[]
During a medical ethics class, Professor X presented a video to the students featuring MacTaggert and the comatose patient she was treating on Muir Island.
Some time after the events on Alcatraz Island, MacTaggert was still caring for her comatose patient. To her surprise, the patient suddenly began talking to her, and she soon realized that it was Xavier.

- In the comics, Muir Island was the central location in the "Muir Island Saga" storyline, and was originally created by Moira so that she could help her son Kevin, an extremely powerful and destructive mutant.
