Trivia

  • Although The New Mutants is the team's first cinematic appearance, several members from the comics are mentioned in X2: X-Men United on Stryker's computer. They include: Karma, Magma, Cypher, and Magik.
  • Cypher is the first member of the New Mutants from the comics to make an appearance in a film. He was one of the students at the X-Mansion in X2: X-Men United.
  • Magik is the only member of the New Mutants who was not on the original team when they debuted in the comics.
