Omahyra Mota portrayed Philippa Sontag/Arclight in X-Men: The Last Stand.
Biography[]
Born as Omahyra Mota Garcia on November 30, 1984 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, her career began when Boss Models discovered her at the age of six. Her mother made it clear to her that she would work as a model someday, and therefore constantly urged her to send application photos to model agencies. She frequently told her she would be famous. She moved to the United States with her mother, grandmother, two sisters, and brother in either 1994 or 1995. This was because her mother wanted her to have a better life and a better education.
With the two models Mayana Moura and Isabel Ibsen, she founded the punk band OMI. Unfortunately, the band was dissolved after Mayana went to Brazil to study there. Mota worked as a model for designers such as Chris Aire, Bill Blass, Cynthia Steffe, Fendi, Nina Ricci, Sean John, Baby Phat, Heatherette, Jean-Paul Gaultier, and Roca Wear. A celebrity named Gwen Stefani let them fly in for LAMB's New York Fashion Week 2005. Apart from her role as the malevolent member of the Omegas, she is also known for After the Sunset (2004) and State Property: Blood on the Streets (2005).
Much later, she had a daughter in October of 2012.
