The President was an unnamed man who served as President of the United States in 1992. He had a close working relationship with Charles Xavier and the X-Men, until Jean Grey's actions in Red Hook soured public opinion against mutants.

Biography[]

Mission in Space[]

In 1992, the President called on the X-Men to rescue the crew of the space shuttle Endeavor after an approaching "solar flare" left them stranded in space. After the X-Men successfully completed their mission, the President thanked them for their heroic efforts.[1]

Jean Grey Incident[]

Following Jean Grey's attack against police officers in Red Hook and military officials in Genosha, she was branded a wanted criminal. With public perception of mutants becoming soured, the President cut his ties with the X-Men.
