Weisberg was the United States Secretary of Defense during the 1983 event when En Sabah Nur along with his Four Horsemen attempted to destroy the modern world in order to rebuild it in his image. 

Biography[]

Secretary Weisberg was first seen in the Pentagon's War Room when Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Hastings notified everyone in the War Room that there's a massive nuclear-missile launch aimed to the outer space. Secretary Weisberg along with other's government and Joint Chiefs of Staff officials inside the War Room was seen watching the Pentagon's War Room monitor showing massive of nuclear warhead ballistic-missile worldwide launch which is caused by En Sabah Nur after he manage to connect into Charles Xavier mind while Xavier was still connected into Cerebro.

Later on Secretary Weisberg was seen during a briefing by the Pentagon's scientists about the potential destruction caused by Magneto's newly enhanced powers that caused a magnetic phenomenon and global destruction. At this point Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Hastings noticed that it was En Sabah Nur objectives to destroy the whole world.

However after the X-Men finally managed to defeat En Sabah Nur and stop the global destruction, Secretary Weisberg along with the other government leaders and Joint Chiefs of Staff officials in the war room finally can breath a sight relief after finds out that the magnetic phenomenon which caused global destruction has finally stop, making the world secure again. Secretary Weisberg also seen calling the president, telling the president that their prayer for the global destruction to stop has been answered and saying thank you to the President.

  • His character is heavily based on a real-life United States Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, who served as United States Secretary of Defense from 1981 to 1987.
