This wiki DOES NOT treat Logan (2017) as being an alternate timeline, but rather part of the revised timeline created as of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Any edits claiming Logan is its own timeline will be undone, and subsequent edits ignoring this might result in a block.
Deadpool & Wolverine uses the designation Earth-10005 for the revised timeline, which is the same designation used for the original timeline. As such, the wiki is currently operating on the basis that Wolverine overwrote the same timeline without creating a branch. Despite the overwrite, certain pages have been marked with "/Revised Timeline" to distinguish events that occurred pre-timeline rewrite with those that occurred post-rewrite.
Due to the time travel in Deadpool 2 resulting in the timeline being rewritten instead of creating a branch timeline, this wiki considers the timeline where Vanessa Carlysle was murdered to have been erased. However, in order to accurately list the events pre and post-rewrite, the events have been split into two timeline pages: 2010s/Revised Timeline and 2018/Vanessa Carlysle Murdered.
"Let us go talk to the professor." "McAvoy or Stewart? These timelines are so confusing."
In X-Men, Charles tells Logan that he met Erik when he was 17 years old. In X-Men: First Class, Charles meets Erik when both are in their late 20's.
In X-Men, Charles acts confused as to why he can't find Erik with Cerebro, whilst in X-Men: First Class he witnesses the effects of the helmet.
The X-Mansion in X-Men: First Class is not the same as the original building in the original trilogy. However, it can be assumed that it was renovated and expanded to serve as a school.
In X-Men, Charles tells Logan that Erik helped build Cerebro, but neither of the versions of Cerebro we see in the original timeline are built with the help of Erik. In X-Men: First Class, Cerebro is built by the CIA, and in X-Men: Days of Future Past, Hank tells Logan that he and Charles built the school, the labs, and all the other facilities (Cerebro is implied to be included in this) after Erik had abandoned Charles in X-Men: First Class. It is nevertheless possible that Charles and Erik built some or all of Cerebro before their final confrontation with Sebastian Shaw in X-Men: First Class.
In X-Men: First Class, Moira MacTaggert appears as an early thirty-year-old woman, yet forty-four years later, she appears roughly the same age in X-Men: The Last Stand.
In X-Men: The Last Stand, Jean Grey appears as a small child (presumably around the age of eleven or so) in a flashback set in 1986, but in X-Men: Apocalypse set in 1983, she appears as to be much older as a girl in her late teens. This can be explained away with the timeline change.
In X-Men: The Last Stand, Charles was shown to be able to walk in a flashback set in 1986, even though he was paralyzed in 1962 as shown in X-Men: First Class. This same error appears in 1979, when Charles saves the mutant children in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. One could argue that he used the serum developed by Beast, but this would not be logical as he was able to use his psychic powers.
In X-Men: The Last Stand, Angel appears as a 12-year-old boy in a flashback set in 1996, but in X-Men: Apocalypse set in 1983 he appears as a young adult.
In Logan, Charles Xavier says he is 90 years old, even though that film takes place in 2029 and he was born in 1932 according to X-Men: First Class, so he should be 97. Although he could have easily forgotten his exact age due to his Alzheimer's.
Also in Logan, it is stated that no new mutants have been born in North America since 2004. However, in the 2023 flash forward in Days of Future Past, mutant teens and children are shown who are far too young to have been born in 2004.
