X-Force is a black-ops team of mutants led by Cable who act as a team for containing mutant threats before they go public. X-Force is the polar opposite of the X-Men whom unlike their more heroic counterparts are brutal and lethal towards their opponents.

In the comics, the X-Force serve as the black-ops version of the X-Men, but are more militant and aggressive. The team has consisted of various X-Men characters over the years from Wolverine to Colossus to X-23.
